Whenever Martino returns to his small hometown in Puglia, he must endure the teasing of his fellow townspeople, who mock his obsession with becoming a famous musician. With the help of his best friend Peppino \u2014 a small-town \u201ccowboy\u201d with more bravado than sense \u2014 Martino devises a wildly impractical plan to finally attract attention: he stages his own disappearance.
