Within the span of a few days, Marco loses his job when the factory where he works is shut down due to financial decisions that show no regard for the thirty families left without income. Drawing strength from the desperate battle his son is fighting, Marco takes upon himself not only his own fate but also that of his fellow workers. He risks everything, embarking on a venture that only the reckless — or the heroic — would dare attempt: he buys the factory himself, taking on substantial bank debt and putting his home up as collateral. Against all odds, he succeeds.
